Setting The Table With B+G

There is an inherent design process in art de la table. From selecting the aesthetic and the linens to the tableware, the ritual takes on a personal meaning when hosting in your own home.

Consider opting for seasonal elements with a balance of fresh and dried florals to add a mix of texture and color. With a black dining table as Giselle’s canvas, she created a contemporary setting with modern tableware so as to not compete with the clean lines and smooth finish of the tabletop. The mix of amber, soft pink and whispers of black and green quietly yet boldly stand out against the white French moldings.

Designer’s Note: A mix of natural and dry florals create a more organic aesthetic. Dried arrangements add longevity to the decor. The large centerpiece features a blend of cattails, kiwi vines, and craspedias. The smaller arrangements are a combination of beautiful protea banksias, craspedias and kiwi vines. The settings were embellished with a singular craspedia delicately tied to a stalk of pampas grass.
