Major League Baseball veteran Asdrúbal Cabrera recruited Brett and Giselle Sugerman to design the interiors of an incredible 9,000 sq. ft., 7-bedroom, 9-bathroom tropical modern mansion in the exclusive neighborhood of Landmark Ranch Estates in Southwest Ranches.
The star athlete and Venezuelan native, chose the sought-after team at B+G to entrust the interior design of his new residence. B+G created sleek interiors that simultaneously feel modern, warm and inviting. Sprawled out across two acres in the upscale gated community, the property designed by architecture firm Choeff Levy Fishman, who also designed former baseball player, Alex Rogriguez’s home, exudes a modern tropical appeal.

An eye dropping mahogany pivot door opens to the foyer where a stunning bespoke travertine center table sets a tone of understated elegance. Just beyond, an intimate seating area with leather swiveling Desiree chairs separates the formal living room from the dining room. B+G considered the athlete’s love of gathering with his family and relatives, creating spaces that engage and offer opportunities to interact.
Vibrant teal velvet chairs pop in the sitting room, where layers of coffee tables in mixed metals add depth. Custom rift oak millwork accents envelop the space. Bringing the room together is a light-blue custom rug with hints of a golden linear design.
The open kitchen is appointed with fine, handcrafted Italian cabinetry, combining warm tones with white surfaces. Black leather counter stools tuck away neatly. With plenty of seating, the lacquer and bronze kitchen table extends when needed to welcome more guests.
Facing calming outdoor views of the lush backyard, the dining room features a custom walnut table surrounded by low-profile taupe leather chairs from Potocco that offer comfortable and stylish seating for twelve. Framed by the living room and sitting area, the dining room centers the gathering spaces uniting the design in the first floor.
